Mechanical Recycling
Mechanical Recycling, also known as sorting and recovery, is a required and mandatory step for the development of waste2energy projects.
SophSys specializes in the development and deployment of green energy solutions. As a solution provider, SophSys has been and currently is involved in several development projects for new technology. Our current portfolio consists of ready-for-market developments and installations; for several of the items, SophSys holds the exclusive rights for distribution for specific countries and areas. The SophSys team consists of specialists in the area of green energy that support our clients with the following elements.

Mechanical Recycling, also known as sorting and recovery, is a required and mandatory step for the development of waste2energy projects.
Chemical recycling is an advanced recycling method that breaks down waste materials into their original chemical building blocks. Chemical Recycling is a class C3 technology in accordance with the EU waste legislation and, unlike incineration, subject to EU subsidies and support. Unlike mechanical recycling—where plastics are simply shredded and recovered—chemical recycling converts complex or contaminated waste streams into high-value raw materials that can be used again in new products. This makes it possible to recycle waste that would normally be landfilled, incinerated, or exported.

Due to our work with waste facilities and hydrogen projects, we often require energy storage systems. Alongside the energy from waste, we often encounter solar integration requests. As such, SophSys and our partners have developed a unique and reliable calculation model for integrating various energy sources to enable the calculation of efficiency, economic viability and energy storage size.
